Mileage
Mileage stays with the person who drove.
Record the date, the miles, and why you drove. Expensy applies the IRS business rate for that date and keeps the trip with the person who entered it.
What you enter
A trip has a purpose, a date, and the miles. Expensy calculates the amount from the IRS standard mileage rate for business use on that date. You can edit a trip you entered.
Who can see a trip
In a personal workspace you see your own trips. In a team, the owner sees every trip. Other members see only the trips they entered. A trip is not a receipt scan, so it does not use the monthly scan allowance.
Meeting minutes
Meeting notes sit beside the trips. A note has a title, the discussion, the date, and the attendees. It can point at a receipt or a trip from the same person. Minutes stay with the person who wrote them. In a team, the owner can see every note, and everyone else sees their own.
Next to the receipts
Receipts, mileage, and minutes live in one workspace. A photo still becomes a receipt you review, and a confirmed receipt on a paid plan can go to QuickBooks.
