QuickBooks

Export a confirmed receipt to QuickBooks.

Pro connects one person. Teams connects the organization. The owner chooses the company and the bank account used for export.

Which plan includes it

Free does not include QuickBooks. Pro is a personal export for $3 a month. Teams is $5 a person each month, with a five-person minimum, and one QuickBooks connection for the organization. The owner sets that connection up. A member does not.

The allowances are on the pricing page.

What gets sent

Export is available after you confirm a receipt that has a merchant, date, total, and category. Only the person who added the receipt can export it. Expensy creates a purchase in QuickBooks: the merchant is the payee, the receipt date is the transaction date, and the total is the amount.

The category maps to an expense account the owner chooses. The purchase is paid from the bank account selected in Settings. Mileage and meeting minutes are not exported this way.

Before the first export

Connect QuickBooks, choose the company used for export, pick the bank account, and map each category you use to a QuickBooks expense account. A receipt that is still in review cannot be exported. Confirm it first. How a photo becomes that receipt is on the receipt scanning page.
